About the law firm
Jana Štandera, Attorney-at-Law, graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen in 2007 and, immediately after completing his studies, joined a smaller law firm in Prague as an attorney trainee. He then continued his traineeship at another Prague law firm, focusing on general practice with an emphasis on civil, commercial and criminal law.
In 2010, Mr. Štandera successfully passed the bar exam and established his own practice – AK Jan Štandera. In his practice he provides legal services across the legal system and according to clients’ needs, again with a main focus on civil, commercial and criminal law, including representation in contentious proceedings before courts and in arbitration. From 2010 to 2012 he practised as an external cooperating attorney; since 2012 he has acted as an independent attorney. Jana Štandera is also a member of the Union of Defence Counsel.
In 2011 Mr. Štandera completed training and subsequently the mediation examination organised by the Czech Bar Association in cooperation with the Brussels Bar. In 2013 he passed the state mediation examination and is a registered mediator on the list kept by the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic. In mediation he is active in practice as well as in theory and promotion. He was also appointed an examiner for mediation examinations at the Ministry of Justice and the Czech Bar Association and is a member of the Czech Bar Association’s advisory section for ADR (alternative dispute resolution).
